Kimberly Wuirch is wise beyond her years. She grew up well below the poverty line, but she persevered, got an education, and reached her highest goals in the IT business. Then her life was turned upside down when she woke up as an empath.

Waking Up An Empath: A year in the life of an empath from awakening to spiritual healer, is the honest, often comical year in the life story of Kimberly Wuirch. Having been labeled as ‘sensitive’ throughout her life, even by her mother, Kimberly finally finds out the reason why her emotions and moods are often heightened. She discovers that she is an empath.
Upon making this discovery and then wanting to read as much about awakening empaths as possible, Kimberly quickly realized there were not enough books about empaths out there. So she took it upon herself to write the book she most wanted to read, and she penned her story, a year in the life of an awakened empath, so that other sensitives, empaths, psychics, and intuitive people like herself, would know what they would face in their first year of awakening spiritually.
The book is based on one year of Kimberley’s life – from the shock of finding out she was an empath and learning what that meant, to the journey through spiritual awakening, and finally to becoming a healer, psychic, and medium. Her story is relatable to many people who are too afraid to let the world know of their abilities, or who are only just discovering who they really are.
The main theme of the book is what it’s like to be an empath, and the subthemes focus on the tools empaths can use to channel their gifts in the right direction, such as Reiki, angels, crystals, and so on…
Kimberly wrote this book to help other empaths realize that their thoughts, feelings, and sudden mood swings are all a normal part of being an empath. And how difficult it is for those on the outside to fully understand what life is like for an empath. In the pages of this book, Kimberly is like the good and knowledgeable friend who empaths can confide in when it comes to their own spiritual awakening and the fears and challenges that brings up.
In her book, Kimberly recalls the day she first discovered that she was, in fact, an empath, which explained a lot of previously inexplicable factors. She had been reading a fiction book in which one of the main characters was an empath. Having never come across the word ‘empath’ Kimberly googled it and a great deal of information appeared before her eyes, including a questionnaire to discover if she herself was an empath. The questionnaire reported back that she was.
From there Kimberly goes on to explain the synchronistic series of events that followed, which led to her awakening even further and learning some of the tools of the healing trade, to really shine her Light and use her God-given talents in order to help others. And that is what she is also doing by writing this book and having it published – helping other empaths so they do not feel as lost and confused as she did once upon a time. There are not only words on the pages of Kimberly’s book. There is also love and compassion for a journey Kimberly knows all too well.
